We are recruiting for a five-year contract in Bethesda, MD supporting the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and call center. We are to upgrade their current Avaya VOiP system from release 6. 3 to 7. 1. Once the upgrade of this mission-critical system is completed, we will provide operational and maintenance support to ensure the system is always available for appointment calls. These positions require background checks to obtain secret clearances and Contractor Access Cards (CACs). We are also looking for folks certified in DoD Directive 8570. 1M Information Assurance Training Level II (IAT II) and Information Assurance Training Level I (IAT I). Someone with Avaya certifications is ideal. There may be weekend/evening calls and hours for the week would be adjusted accordingly if you had to support on-call after-hours work.
GDIT is seeking a Network/Server Administratorto provide technical administration and day-to-day up keep of various infrastructure components including but not limited to: network switching, servers, hosts, VMs, Microsoft applications and services. The ideal candidate will perform:
  • Troubleshooting (hands-on) and break/fix of physical components.
  • Optimization and process implementation of environment for improved services and reliability.
  • Monitoring and reporting up-time of environment based on SLAs.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of functions and services.
Education
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related discipline. Equivalent experience can be substituted for a degree.
Customer preferred:
  • BS degree or 5 years of more experience.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • 2 years of general system, network or IT administrator OS support experience.
  • 5 years of dedicated datacenter, infrastructure or enterprise experience.
  • Must demonstrate technical proficiency in areas related to work experience and/or education.
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks.
  • Customer service skills and professionalism are required as are effective troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Organization and prioritization skills are a must.
  • Must be able to support on-call/outage needs.
  • Nutanix experience is required.
  • DoD Secret Clearance required.
