Summary

A Project Manager or Business Analyst is required to lead an ERP implementation project within a small to medium enterprise within the pharmaceutical engineering industry.

The client

An SME acting as a UK-based, technical agent for three Italian manufacturers of pharmaceutical process equipment. This organisation brokers the sale of this process equipment to their blue chip pharmaceutical customers in the UK and manage the import, installation and maintenance of this machinery post sale.

The role

A a new ERP system is required with the primary need being for a new finance system. However, the end goal will be to have a fully operational ERP system automating as many processes as possible across all departments including finance, warehouse or inventory management, logistics, sales etc.

As the ERP Project Manager your role will be to work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their business functions, needs and improvements that need to be made, whilst driving the project via the ERP implementation team as provided by the ERP vendor.

Stakeholder management will be a large part of this role, balancing needs and navigating conflict.

This organisation is currently at the ERP selection stage and so, depending on timelines of recruitment, this role may also involve input into ERP selection.

This position offers exceptional flexibility in the work pattern offering the option of working 3 days - 5 days a week.

Remote working in also available however, initially the expectation would be you are on site at the head office in Redhill, Surrey to get to know the stakeholders and learn the business.

Initially the contact would be for 12 months. However, this can be flexible depending the requirements of the project and applicants.

What's on offer?

This role is available on a fixed term contract or day rate contractor basis.

Given the small scale of this project, we expect the pay to be around

  • £75,000pa for a fixed term contract or
  • £400-500/d (outside IR35) for a day rate contractor.

However, for the right person this could be flexible!

What experience is required to apply?

This role would be suited to an ERP Project Manager, ERP Project Lead or ERP Business Analyst.

It is essential applicants have;

  • Previous ERP implementation experience
  • Specifically, strong finance system or Finance ERP knowledge
  • Self-driven and self-managing
  • Excellent inter-personal skills and stakeholder management experience
