Location: MOBILE - Working out of Harrogate Stonefall Cemetery, covering the North East region.
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: Starting from £24,234 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, average of 37 hours per week

What you'll be doing
We are excited to offer this opportunity for a Skilled Maintenance Craftsperson to join our team. The role encompasses structural and some horticultural duties. Maintaining commemorations and headstones through tasks like cleaning, graffiti removal, and replacing damaged headstones. It also includes managing the collection, transportation, and erection of headstones.
Horticultural responsibilities involve strimming and vegetation removal. These are just a snapshot of the duties for this role.
This is a mobile role with lots of travel, so you'll have use of a van. The role is practical, hands-on and requires a decent level of physical fitness. There will be frequent overnight stays, of which costs will be contributed.
What you need to have
- Full Manual Drivers Licence
- Reasonable knowledge of general building practices and manual technical skills
- Strong communication skills
- Good level of computer literacy
- Initiative to make decisions and resolve issues
- Able to work effectively and safely alone, as well as within a team
- NAMM & BRAMM are desirable, but training can be provided
You must be within a reasonable commutable distance of Harrogate Stonefall Cemetery to be considered for the role.
