Electrical Components Engineer (Contract)

Location: Portsmouth, Hampshire Country: UK Rate: £38.00 per hour
 

iO Associates is looking for an onsite EEE Components Engineer, to work for a global pioneer in the aerospace industry, operating in the commercial aircraft, helicopters, defence, and space sectors.

The ideal candidate will work independently, possess strong interpersonal skills, and ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high standards.

Locations: Portsmouth, UK

Daily rate: up to £38 per hour Inside IR35

Working pattern: On-site

SC Clearable

A successful candidate will have:

  • Expertise in Electronic Component Engineering, preferably in a regulated industry.
  • Project management experience with a focus on quality, schedule, and cost.
  • Strong networking skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage interfaces between projects and EEE support teams.
  • Understanding of current quality practices.
  • Higher-level engineering qualification (HNC/HND or Degree).

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality component delivery.
  • Provide EEE component expertise for equipment production.
  • Support costing, bids, EEE & PCB selection, and demand management.
  • Collect and harmonize EEE needs, propose solutions, and ensure implementation.
  • Offer technical and quality support to customers and suppliers.
  • Maintain knowledge of component technologies and manufacturing methods.
